Shopping Centres
For those of you that enjoy a leisurely day shopping, but don’t want the inconvenience of a city centre, then shopping centres are for you.
Shopping centres house major high street as well as high fashion brands under one roof. They also offer leisure facilities, such as cinemas, as well as top restaurant chains. This means you never have to leave the complex to have the complete ‘day out’ package.
One such complex is the Trafford Centre in Manchester. Home to Ariel Extreme, LEGOLAND, Golf a crèche and an Odeon cinema. Not forgetting the Orient, Europe’s largest food court, boasting 60 different places to eat. On top of this the Trafford Centre is home to over 200 stores, both high fashion and high street.
Opening on 10th September 1998, the Trafford Centre was the UK’s first ‘mega mall’. With 3 ‘anchor’ stores, John Lewis, Selfridges and Debenhams, the complex has attracted some of the biggest names in retail. The centre has over 30million visitors each year, each spending on average £100 per visit. These figures alone show how popular the shopping centre is.
Each week shopping centres will run events and competition. The Trafford Centre is no exception. They are currently hosting a week long beauty event with brands throughout the complex taking part. Competitions are also promoted on a constant basis, ranging from beauty products to film merchandise.
The Trafford Centre even has its own App. The A-List App informs shoppers of hot new trends and special offers, as well as free consultations and champagne.
There really is everything you could possible need for a satisfying day out.
