Looking North-West over
Grasmere village into Easedale.
Looking North to Helm Crag,
Steel Fell and Dunmail Raise.
A riderless posse come to
greet us as we approach Michaels Fold.
Next day with showers threatening,
a Thirlmere beach and Helvellyn's flank beyond.
Castlerigg Stone Circle,
just outside Keswick, with Blencathra beyond and with rain about
to start.
The other side of Keswick,
looking West across Derwentwater.
Looking South into Borrowdale
from Derwentwater with Castle Crag central.
At Watendlath the rain came
and went ...
... and came again at the
viewpoint above Ashness ...
... but not enough to dampen
the spirits of these schoolgirls lunching at Watendlath.
