Siddington church in December
...
... visible from the roadside
now the maize has been harvested.
I'm not stopping long, though.
I'm heading to Redesmere and time's getting on.
We've still got light, though,
and the possibility of a good sunset.
"Look out! Here's another
photographer! Quick! - Hide!!"
These guys from Canada had
been more circumspect and had put a field's width between me and
them ...
... and from the chirpy
toddler who would have loved them to be closer.
The dinghy park at the sailing
club is depleted but far from empty of boats ...
... but there's no sailing
today. No wind, anyway, and it's not weekend. It is also not warm,
but the notices in the clubhouse tell of a 'Frostbite' series
of races!! Isn't enthusiasm wonderful?
These enthusiasts had themselves
well set up for a long night's fishing - I think for Carp.
The sky was colouring now
as the day faded into twilight.
"Still here, then,
are we?"
(Or, as suggested by Sue
Reynolds: 'Just a swan at twilight'. All together now! :o)
Not for long. I'm on my
way. But wasn't this worth waiting for?
Heading away from the lake,
here's a pale moon on the rise.
Peering back through the
reeds there's only a fading afterglow remaining.
And the mist is starting
to creep over the fields.
