Lyme
Park - Part II
Return
to Part I
Deeper into the garden,
another view across the Lake.
....
Ripening Rowan berries and
Rudbeckia with casually complaisant butterfly (a Green-veined
White?).
From memory, this is closer
to the first view we have of Pemberley in the BBC-tv serialisation
of 'Pride and Prejudice'.
....
It seems this lady and her
family thought so too as they organised themselves into the 'right
spot' for the picture.
Back round towards the house:
the eastern elevation with The Orangery and terraced garden area.
Inside The Orangery ...
... the fountain.
....
Outside, in the Herbaceous
Border ...
... a smiling farewell to
the garden.
A last glimpse of the house
...
... a skip past the funfair
...
... and, on the way home,
from outside the park, The Cage standing proud.
